Benefits

Kent County employs approximately 2,200 employees, 300 of which are classified as management positions. All management positions receive salary and benefits according to an outlined Management Pay Plan (MPP). The Management Pay Plan was established in 1996 and incorporates a pay-for-performance system that links salary increases to job performance. The non-management work force is represented by eleven labor unions and receives compensation and benefits through bargained labor agreements. Salaries and benefits offered by Kent County are competitive with other private and public sector positions. Employment benefits vary according to full-time or part-time employment status and between employee groups.
